They claim to have a "first come first served" policy but it's not true. I found the condo of my dreams and started inquiring about it on Friday and picked up a paper application on Saturday. They told me it had to be a paper copy and not online, so I did exactly what they told me to. I turned in the paper copy with everything I needed on Monday, but then they said somebody had applied *online* to the condo before me.

I was never given the option or notified about the ability to apply online, otherwise I would have had it done on Friday! They refused to honor the fact that I had been in the process first by several days. They really screwed me over. I was not given a fair opportunity. I'd bet they were saving the place for a buddy or something. Do not deal with these guys.

First of all, these people left me with a broken back door for months that I could NOT lock. They also left mold to grow on the closet ceiling. Then they demanded rent after not doing a thing about the mold, it's still there right now....I was being evicted and was in the process of moving and packing my things. I had even just gotten a uhaul, and I called their office to speak with someone about needing an extra day to finish up and get completely out of the unit. The woman I spoke to told me that should be fine. The extra day I had asked for was a Thurs. I specifically emphasized that I wanted to AVOID constable busting in at all costs, and she assured me that it would be fine. Yet they showed up in full force at 9 am and ordered us out of the house and proceeded to throw all of my longings outside. Where they were then pilfered through and all of my values were stolen and taken from me. My computer, my jewelry, my precious crystal glass collection. Things that are irreplaceable as well. My entire life was gone through and ransacked! Words cannot explain the deep feeling of animosity and disgust I have for this management company. And i do understand that I fell behind on rent due to a car wreck, but I definitely did NOT deserve all of this to happen to my things and belongings!! They should be ashamed of themselves amd I don't know how any of those bastards sleep at night!!

Incompetent. AC unit broke twice in months during the summer, incredibly slow to fix or poor with updates. Repair people slow to respond, rude, slow to get work done, and generally uncommunicative. Far too expensive considering how poor service is and how run down the amenities are.

Elizabeth was excellent in helping me find the perfect property! She was my co-workers agent, but after tagging along for one showing, I told her I'd like to use her, too! I just moved into the perfect property for me, having just relocated to Waco 3 weeks ago!

I lived at an apartment complex that was owned by Carbajal for the two years I lived there. I have never had such a terrible experience with staffing and having issues addressed. We finally got a new property owner, who came in and addressed issues I had been pressing for months. There was black mold all over my apartment, and I had no AC all summer. I was supposed to be reimbursed for damages to my stuff, and that never happened.
We also lived with an abusive roommate that was never taken seriously, resulting in my own expenses for legal action.

They outsourced unqualified, unprofessional individuals for maintenance. I contacted Carbajal directly about my issues, and these were never resolved. I am moving out of this apartment next year, and will never recommend or rent from Carbajal again. Please be careful where you choose to live. My living situation was the most stressful portion of my college experience.

Since there aren’t many reviews, and the only one on here is negative, might as well input my experience. I’ve rented with this company for 2 years now, coming up on 3!
The bad stuff, sometimes they have been rude or impatient over the phone when I had a question about something, but I tend to stick to emails.
The good stuff; The staff has been understanding and accommodating when we have had issues or have turned in maintenance requests, they always respond quickly and always apologize when they are late to respond! The maintenance crew are very sweet! And are pretty quick to fix stuff and make sure we don’t have anything else needing fixing.
Once, when our A.C went out, they paid for a night at a hotel since it was summer, so it was hot hot. The crew was able to get the a.c back to working within 3 days!
The property owner is very nice ( he lives right by our rental) he has been understanding in allowing us to have our cats here, and even helped my partner with her tomato plant. Haha.
Last thing, they definitely seem to care for their tenants, even though they have to keep up with a lot of properties. Once, we let them know we were gonna be late on paying rent, and because we normally always pay on time, they were very accommodating and allowed us to have a few extra grace days so we could meet our rent! They even waived our late fee.
Overall, we have loved this company and how quick they are to accommodate or fix any issues. They are understanding as well. It’s hard to find that in a lot of companies! I will definitely miss renting for this company when we move.

I spent the last 6 months at my very first apartment. The Meadows in Hillsboro was my little piece of paradise. I absolutely loved everything about my apartment!! I always felt safe and at peace. Being single and living on my own, that was an important priority.

Nikkie Solomon, the apartment manager was the most helpful and pleasant person to work with. She was always on top of getting things done for me. The maintenance guys, they were always very helpful as well!

I’m gonna miss my little apartment. I hope the next tenant loves it as much as I did!!

I highly recommend the Meadow apartments for anyone that is looking for a little place to call home!!

If I could give them zero stars I would! They out right lied about how much of a deposit I paid to try and get out of giving me a refund. And then lied AGAIN about damages to the property. The office is completely incompetent and rude. Go literally anywhere else to rent.
