Two weeks ago we’ve spent a week at Chalet Auhof with group of 18 adults and 3 little children.||||We’ve really enjoyed the house and the hospitality offered by Meike and David. They did their utmost to make you feel at home and they succeeded! Every day they cooked a nice dinner and breakfast was perfect as well. Of course it’s not a three star Michelin restaurant but that’s not surprising given the price of this accommodation, from a price/quality ratio it was good and we really appreciated the way how flexible they were coping with requests from our side. Every evening they prepared a special dinner for the kids. And after this they served a nice 3 course meal for us.||||Meike and David were very cooperative and interested what we would like to eat and if we would like to have something additional like kaiserschmarrn. They also baked a birthday cake for one of the persons who was celebrating her birthday during our visit. They also provided us with information which area was the best to go to given the weather forecast and afterwards interested how it has been.||||The rooms of the chalet were accordingly to what has been described on the website, so no surprise. As mentioned here above, it’s not a 5 star hotel but that’s not what we’re expecting. It’s a typical Austrian chalet with a couple of rooms with shower and toilet inside the room and a couple of rooms which have a shared bathroom on the corridor. The WiFi in this chalet was quite good.||||The location is not far away from the lift, 800 meters to the Achter Jet lift, no problem to walk on normal shoes and otherwise you can take the car or the bus, which stops nearly in front of the chalet, or rent a locker near the lift station.|| ||Overall a big thumbs up for Chalet Auhof and especially Meike & David and Karlijn. Taking into account the price/quality ratio and the convenience of a catered chalet it’s definitely a recommendation!

I loved staying here. The rooms, beds and showers are comfortable. The chalet has a wood fired sauna. And the host and cook were the most pleasant couple you could wish for. David and Meike have made sure our group received a really good, freshly prepared meal every night and they have prepared us our breakfast every morning in time.

Meike and David were very attentive hosts who took care of our every need and made us feel welcome. It is clear that Meike and David have a wealth of experience when it comes to hospitality and this is reflected in their service. ||||The chalet itself is in a brilliant location, only a 10 minute walk from Snowspace Flachau and the main bars, restaurants and shops. Not that you would need the restaurants as there is always a good variety of international and local cuisine on offer in the chalet on the nights the staff are cooking, we even had the best Schnitzel of the week in the Chalet one evening. ||||The chalet is also well maintained and regularly cleaned throughout the week. ||||Overall I only have good things to say about the service by Meike and David, as well as the beautiful rustic chalet, I highly recommend you stay here!

Voor de wintersportvakantie met collega's (24 pers) hebben we met veel plezier gebruik gemaakt van het chalet Auhof. De kamers zijn ruim en schoon, waarbij een groot aantal ook douche en wc op de kamer heeft. We hebben gebruik kunnen maken van de sauna. Meike en David hebben elke dag gezorgd voor een heerlijk ontbijt en diner en daarnaast waren ze erg aardig, flexibel en behulpzaam. Zo ging Meike bijv met ons mee nr de skiliften, om nieuwe passen te regelen, toen jassen met skipassen waren verdwenen tijdens een avond uit. En werd eten bewaard voor degene die wat later waren met ontbijten/dineren. Het chalet ligt wel op ong een kilometer afstand van beide skiliften (achterjet en starjet), maar de bushalte die gratis naar beide liften rijdt, stopt bijna voor de deur.

We've been coming to Austria every year and staying at good hotels in Obergurl. This year we wanted to try a new area and make it more economical for us and our friends. BIG MISTAKE! This chalet looks fine from the outside and it sounds pretty cool if they tell you it comes with a live-in couple that prepare breakfast and dinner for your group. It was all quite dissapointing. We were a total of six families mostly with teenagers and our first dissapointment were the rooms. This is not meant for families with kids but is more for students that are not picky have a BIG budget. If a couple wants a private shower and bathroom they have to sleep in rooms with bunkbeds and if not get stuck with a tiny room and have to share the toliet and shower located in the hall! Not comfortable or luxurious at all in that respect. The beds in itself are fine. The breakfasts are fine which is why it should be called a B&B ONLY and also charge as a B&B and not as a fancy hotel! The dinners were yes...you guessed it....student food. Our kids thought it was edible but don't expect anything fancy or tasty here....my gluten free pasta was overkooked and most of the food is tasteless. The desserts are fine but who wants dessert if you havn't gotten a decent meal? The eating area is not cozy and has hard seating areas that will hurt your bottom and back after 10 minutes. The couple Meike and David are young and inexperienced both in hosting and cooking. We were spoken to as school children, there was no interest in us or our day, no hospitality or cheerful smiles or greetings in the mornings or evenings.....it felt as though we were barging into their home and didn't feel welcome at all!! A friendly couple with good cooking skills would make up for the rooms and make a big difference! The sauna located outside (not convenient) was an ok experience and we could only use it once free of charge. All in all, not the vacation we were hoping for in terms of lodging. We saved some money but didn't get the quality we expected and paid for. Once you get to know the area and know where to go there are great ski areas and planty of good restaurants and aprés ski tents to go to! Next year back to Obergurl!

We stayed here for 3 days with group of colleagues and we really enjoyed our stay! Clean, warm, hospitable hosts, anything you can wish for. Thumbs up for the delicious food we got here, much better than what you can get at the restaurants nearby. Maaike and David are great hosts, see you next time!

Top mensen! Voor een dag twee e-bikes gehuurd en was fantastisch. Hele aardige mensen en lekkere wafels ook.
