Gerne wieder.

Wades Point Inn just outside St. Michaels, MD is the best B&B Inn we have ever enjoyed. Total property including the farm area is about 25-30 acres fronting right on the Chesapeake ! We go from Lewes, DE for a few nights & take a room facing West for a glorious sunset.. Beds and about 10 pillows ( for the 2 beds ) are perfect & we take a large room with 2 queen beds on either floor 1 or 2 in the Kemp Guest House with a little kitchen area. The buildings and accommodations are immaculate & the restrictions re children make it that much more relaxing. Breakfast is superb with choices at 8:00 A.M. ( coffee is ready at 7:00 ) in the lovely dining room. Everyone involved there is just delightful. Don't miss out on taking a tour of the farm area for an hour or so with the tenant farmer family ! We had a fun tour with Matt and his 2 delightful farm helpers children Sadie & Emerson. Totally delightful ! The property and buildings on the bay are amazing any month you would select. We were just there in October for our second visit & St. Michaels is a wonderful town a few moments away. Bring your kayaks or use theirs. The location on the Bay is outstanding. The main house with rooms there also is steeped in history as you might imagine. Difficult to leave there !

We spent a wonderful impromptu night at Wades Point Inn in the heat of the summer. Its location on the water was magnificent, shady, and providing a refreshing breeze from the heat so we could be comfortable outside. Our room was lovely, very clean, well airconditioned and had wonderful views of the bay. Bed was very comfortable. The staff is warm and welcoming and the breakfast was delicious. The Inn is everything described in its materials -- beautiful location, swings, hammocks, nature walk, animals, bikes, kayaks, well kept grounds, etc. When you walk out on the dock, you feel as if you're in the middle of the bay with water all around. It's a short ride into the heart of St. Michaels where we had dinner. Compared to other high end inns in the area, Wades Point was reasonably priced and an amazing find. We'll be back for sure and highly recommend to others.

My husband and I did an impromptu getaway. We were able to get a room as soon as we arrived - even tho we didn’t book in advance (our luck!). The hosts, Ms. Betsy and Beth, Were so warm, kind, and very welcoming! They made our stay very enjoyable. The property is stunning! The house and all of its details are impeccable and very clean. It felt like stepping into another century. Definitely an experience we will remember! The rooms had everything we needed, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious! My husband and I sat on the terrace, enjoying the breakfast and listening to the sounds of nature- peace and quiet that we really needed. The views are spectacular and we spent a lot of time on the hammock, enjoying the sounds of the bay and the breeze. The property has kayaks, bikes, and floating Singh if you want to take it to the bay. The weather was extremely hot so we did not take advantage of it but we will next time we visit! This place is fantastic for a quiet and peaceful retreat. In my opinion, best for travelers without kids. We will most certainly be back to this gem of a place!

My wife and I stayed at Wades Point Inn for 3 nights (Friday 9/6 to Monday 9/9) and it was an amazing experience. There were beautiful views, the grounds are very relaxing, and the room was a nice quiet retreat. A particular favorite of ours were the swings and hammocks. The breakfast was also delicious. We definitely want to come back!

My only very small suggestion is for the check-in. We arrived late and there was an envelope with our name on it which contained instructions. We were unsure if we were supposed to just take it or needed to alert someone that we were there first. I'd suggest a small sign saying its okay to just grab your envelope. Like I said, very very small suggestion.

A beautiful, relaxing bed and breakfast for a getaway from the hustle and bustle of the DMV. There is a lot to do on site including walking trails and fishing ( you need to buy bait), biking, kayaking, bird watching, swimming, indoor board games, and books.

Go out on the front pier when the sun hits the water in the afternoon and you will see pools of fish and maybe even a ray like we did! Plenty of birds and butterflies visit the property.

Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating to accommodate the many guests that frequent this bed and breakfast.
Rooms were clean and I really enjoyed the historic, rustic atmosphere.

A sunrise and sunset are seen on the premise!

Breakfast was fantastic and the best part was it was buffet style. So you can have second or thirds! Local yogurt parfait, peach pancakes, croissants, eggs, grits, fresh fruit were excellent!

Only suggestion would be to provide a late afternoon snack for guests and/ or evening cookies and milk.

St Michaels is a quick 10 min drive away with shops and restaurants.

Lastly the Gospel is presented here in subtle ways and it's a great place for Bible retreats.

Absolutely perfect quiet getaway, and close enough to the cute town of St Michaels.
Helen and Sherry were such kind and helpful hostesses. The staff was friendly and they worked very hard to provide a great experience for the guests. The breakfasts were as good as anything you can get in town, and they were unique for all 3 mornings we stayed. The thoughtful choices in colors, furniture, and interior design were tastefully done. The grounds were stunning, and the access to kayaking, fishing, hiking, etc., were also perfectly balanced.
Why only 4 starts? Out of respect for the owners and guests, we were carful not to dress too informally, or wear any clothing that would hint at politically sensitive topics. We were surprised to see that the manager (or owner) was wearing a TRUMP shirt. Of course, this is her home, and freedom of expression is her right. There is no difference between a T-shirt and the 10' TRUMP billboards entering town. This made us wonder if this B&B is catering to a specific crowd.
The only reason for the 2nd half of the review is so future guests understand where they are going.
Great B&B, however, for the right guests.
